History:
Bydgoszcz Kazimierz Wielki Üniversitesi,akademisyenleri,öğrenci sayısı ile dinamik olarak gelişen devlet yüksek öğrenim kurumudur.Kazimierz Wielki Üniversitesi 1 Eylül 2005 yılında özerk bir üniversite olarak faaliyete geçen ancak 40 yıllık akademik geçmişi olan Polonya’nın en genç, geniş profilli eğitim geleneği olan bir üniversitesidir

Educational offer:
Today a rich educational range of studies covers 30 majors at three levels: bachelor and bachelor in engineering, master and doctoral studies. The university also provides almost 30 postgraduate courses, developing qualifications and conferring new credentials. Responding to the expectations of young people and to the needs of the labour market we offer new and attractive majors. Recent additions include biotechnology, tourism and recreation, sociology, cultural studies, cultural heritage protection, as well as additional specializations in applied linguistics (English with Arabic), in pedagogy (social and cultural animation) and engineering studies, much in demand in the contemporary labour market (mechatronics, security engineering, materials engineering).
At present we have 15 000 students. Over 700 academic staff members share their knowledge, including about 150 professors, with over 60 titular professors. Great importance is attached to the development of the staff potential. Thus the staff participate in training schemes, projects, research programmes and cooperate with Polish and foreign educational centres.
Research:
The University’s main objective is to increase its competitiveness on the European market through supporting students and teaching staff mobility. The university cooperates with foreign institutions within the EU 7th Framework Programme and LLP Erasmus. Academic staff conducts research and actively take part in conferences, symposia and courses in Poland and abroad. University can boast rich programme of scientific research, laying the foundations of commercial cooperation with institutions and companies. The offer covers many fields, e.g. analysis of diamond layers quality, experimental research on porous materials, research on contamination of food and fodder with fungus and micotoxyns, research on rehabilitation and mental health.
Student exchange, career:
Our University participates in EU programmes, among others: Lifelong Learning Programme (Comenius, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig). KWU cooperates with 50 foreign universities from 19 countries e.g.: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Lithuania, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Great Britain, Portugal, Norway and Turkey. You can also receive professional training with the European Leonardo da Vinci programme. The University simultaneously runs the Careers Centre which helps students and graduates to find satisfying employment. The Centre acts as an intermediary in finding professional training in the workplace of your choice. The job consultancy instructors will instruct you how to start your own business and make it function effectively in the labour market.
Entertainment, leisure:
It is a well-known fact that going to college is not all about studying, which is why we strive to provide our students with attractive opportunities for spending their free time. New University students are presented with a range of meetings and leisure activities already before the academic year starts. In September, when holidays are still in full swing, you can meet with older students representing the Student Government and the University authorities, and you can learn how the University operates. We offer our students opportunities of active membership in study groups, clubs, associations and encourage them to cultivate their interests. We assist young people in spreading their wings.
Accommodation:
Students have a choice of two student’s residence halls. Students live in single or double rooms in self-contained flats consisting of four rooms. Rooms are well equipped with the access to internet
